![]() ![]() I tried many solutions I could find online, which included using DDU to completely uninstall and reinstall my Nvidia drivers, all to no avail. At some point, I realized that reinstalling the Nvidia drivers every time I reconnected my Core X Chroma would fix the issue, but this isn't an ideal solution as I often need to unplug my laptop to use for school. The external monitor and actual GPU function do not work. My keyboard and mice will usually work, but it's as if my laptop is treating the Core X Chroma as a USB hub. Had some very frustrating disconnects only when I was at a good run this last couple of days. Here's where the problems began: any time I disconnect my eGPU (even after properly ejecting the eGPU through the menu accessed from the bottom right-hand corner of my taskbar) or restart my laptop, the eGPU doesn't register upon reconnection. Anyone experiencing disconnects when playing for 50min+ Dont know if might be a client problem, Internet Provider or something. I tested everything out with a few minutes of Risk of Rain 2 and experienced no lag or stuttering. My monitor ran at its appropriate refresh rate and all of my peripherals were connected and working properly. If that doesnt change anything I would likely look into getting more ram. My keyboard (Logitech G815) and two mice (Logitech G900 and G305) are connected through the USB ports built into the Core X Chroma.Īt the initial setup, everything seemed to be working great. First off, i would go into the Risk of Rain 2 Steam page and verify file integrity, if that isnt it lower every single setting to max low and see if that was the problem, if that fixes it you need a better gpu for it to look decent. I have the Chroma connected to an external monitor through the DisplayPort on my graphics card. I have a Dell on Windows 11 and bought a secondhand Razer Core X Chroma on eBay, and installed my 1060 3GB into it. Hi guys, I'm totally new to eGPUs (and forums, this is my first ever forum post in the history of my time online so bear with me) and have been struggling for days to get mine to work.
